Mixing
At Unity Sounds, we love collaborating with a wide range of clients, from musical performances to corporate functions and sporting events. Whether sculpting soundwaves for smooth sonic clarity at front of house, crafting punchy and balanced monitor mixes for musicians, expertly coordinating RF systems, or navigating the high pressure demands of live broadcasts, our passion for sound has remained solid, steady, and strong for over 15 years.
We are grateful to work in this field and bring extensive training and hands-on experience with a wide range of consoles, including DiGiCo, Avid, Allen & Heath, Yamaha, Midas, and Soundcraft. Having started out mixing on analog gear, we are equally at home in that tactile world and have a particular affinity for patching in outboard equipment, sometimes worth the weight.
Our expertise extends to everything that flows into and out of the console, the heart of the system. We have completed formal training with Meyer Sound, Audinate, and PK Sound and continue to refine our approach using tools like Smaart and Open Sound Meter. With a background that includes university-level study under a classically trained Tonmeister, our knowledge of microphone selection and placement is both technically grounded and artistically adaptable.

Recording and Post Production
At Unity Sounds our dedication to sound extends across the full production arc. With years of experience interning and teaching at recording studios, we specialize in mixing music, editing, sound design, and creating foley for visual media. We approach each project with the goal of achieving high fidelity and technical accuracy, whether capturing sounds in the controlled atmosphere of a studio or the unpredictability of on-location recording.
Thanks to extensive experience working live events, we are especially adept at live recording and broadcast, capturing the energy and spontaneity of performances as they happen. This passion for live capture informs every project we take on.
We work across platforms including Pro Tools, Reaper, and Logic Pro to shape immersive soundscapes, crystal-clear speech, and nuanced effects. Whether editing audio for short films, music releases, or foley, we integrate smoothly into any workflow to deliver professional results from the first mic check to the final render.
Education
Our commitment to excellence in sound extends beyond production into education and community engagement. We have developed and taught university-level curriculum, equipping future sound engineers with the critical listening skills essential for success in the audio industry. In addition to classroom instruction, we actively contribute to the professional audio community through presentations for the Audio Engineering Society, where we share insights into both human and non-human hearing, utilizing advances in audio technology to expand current practices. Our engagement also involves conducting in-depth interviews with industry leaders to spotlight emerging trends, best practices, and key figures shaping the audio landscape, as well as authoring articles for SoundGirls, a platform dedicated to supporting and empowering women in audio. Furthermore, we lead community sound walks designed to cultivate heightened awareness and appreciation of the sonic environments that surround us.
Sound Art
At Unity Sounds, we are passionate about composing and capturing field recordings with precision and creativity for gallery installations, films, live events, or as a session musician providing improvised accompaniments or samples for musical and advertising projects. We specialize in crafting deep listening, immersive, and technically boundary-breaking sonic experiences that genuinely engage listeners.
Our work incorporates unique instruments such as the theremin and modular synthesizers to create dynamic, evolving soundscapes that envelop audiences in multidimensional audio environments and can move sound objects through immersive installations in real time. From stereo and mono mixes to complex multichannel spatial audio, we bring expertise and meticulous attention to every detail.
